Connect your account to HMRC to calculate and submit VAT returns directly from Easy-ia.uk. Your company must first be registered as a recognised software user with HMRC.
💡 How does it work? Once connected via Government Gateway (OAuth2), Easy-ia.uk calculates your VAT return from your sales invoices, lets you review the 9 boxes before anything is sent, then submits it on your confirmation.
⚠️ This CRM tracks sales only. Purchases/expenses are not tracked, so Box 4 (VAT reclaimed) and Box 7 (purchases) will always show £0. Add these via your accounting software or with your accountant before treating a return as final.
Applies only to Sole trader / Partnership accounts with property or self-employment income. Mandatory from 6 April 2026 above £50,000 gross income, from April 2027 above £30,000, and from April 2028 above £20,000. Easy-ia.uk tracks this threshold for you but does not submit ITSA updates on your behalf — speak to your accountant when you approach a mandatory date.
Most businesses handling customer personal data electronically must register with the ICO and pay an annual data protection fee.
From 19 June 2026, organisations must also have a formal process for handling data protection complaints, with acknowledgement of receipt within 30 days.
Identity verification has been mandatory for directors and Persons with Significant Control since 18 November 2025, with a transition period ending 17 November 2026.
